So I moved on from Durant mill (which worked ok until late game, where it couldn’t keep up) to Houndoom mill. Here is my list:

4 houndoom ex
3 bunnelby
2 Shaymin ex
2-2 slowking

4 sycamore
3 Shauna
1 Lysandre
1 Team Flare Grunt
1 delinquent

4 trick shovel
4 puzzle of time
4 crushing hammer
4 Vs Seeker
3 Max Potion
1 enhanced hammer
4 ultra ball
3 fighting fury belt
2 float stone
1 aqua’s secret base
1 parallel city
2 Head Ringer

8 Fire energy

What do you think I should change?

Please help…

Max elixir is useless when the deck runs on one energy attacks. Max potion > Super Scoop up because no flip and you only discard one energy. Also, Team Flare Grunt. Trust me, it is necessary. And 8 energy is the perfect number. Ace trainer is questionable, because if they get a KO on you early enough that it is useful you have a bigger problem (except Bunnelby. Nobody likes Bunnelby.).

I edited my list (posted above).
Your suggestions were very helpful, thank you.

Quite honestly, I don’t see much of a meta shift for standard with Breakpoint. I’ll probably just use my Cities list which was proven to be very effective, and update with FFB and Max Potion.

Try this a as skeleton, was what I used for Cities:

3 Houndoom ex
4 Bunnelby

4 Sycamore
3 Flare Grunt
3 Pokemon Fan Club
3 Shauna
2 Lysandre
1 Xerosic
1 AZ
1 Teammates
1 PBO

4 VS Seeker
4 Crushing Hammer
4 Roller Skates
3 Enhanced Hammer
2 Super Rod
2 Professor’s Letter
1 Startling Megaphone

3 Hard Charm

3 Parallel City

8 Fire Energy

This list is very consistent, and got me a second and a third in Cities.

Enjoy!

Gliscor/Crawdaunt Deck

Pokemon: 15
4 Gliscor
4 Gligar
3 Crawdaunt
3 Corphish
1 Shaymin EX
Trainers: 37
3 Sycamore
2 Birch
2 Korrina
1 AZ
1 Brigette
1 Team Flare Grunt
1 Xerosic
1 Lysandre
4 VS Seeker
1 Ultra Ball
3 Level Ball
2 Focus Sash
2 Muscle Band
3 Super Scoop Up
3 Crushing Hammer
2 Enhanced Hammer
2 Head Ringer
1 Sacred Ash
2 Fighting Stadium
Energy: 8
4 Strong Energy
4 Fighting Energy

The point of the deck is to rid your opponent of their energies with Crawdaunt and Hammers, and use Gliscor to lock them out of putting energies on the active. Feel free to edit the list btw.

What is this?

Your list does seem like it would be very consistent.
But what about the fan club? Why not max potion?
Maybe run a delinquent?

Thank you for helping me

#363

Honestly I would rather play grass durant mill than houndoom.

#364

I have tried both.

Durant discards more cards, but is harder to set up.
Houndoom is faster, but discards less cards at a time.
Houndoom is also more consistent…
Idk…

Do you think that durant would be better at a large tournament than houndoom?
Side Note: States are standard format, right?

#365

They are confirmed to be standard. Also, Houndoom mill is stronger because of durant’s inherent weakness to bats/ Manetric.

#366

Hey, this was cities, so no delinquent in format. PBO is professor Birch’s Observations.

#367

Oh yeah. Duh. Should have thought of that

Got it. I am really not good with acronyms and stuff

#368

is this deck standard legal?

2-2 garbotoxin
3 wailord ex
2 xerosic
4 team flare grunts
4 crushing hammer
2 enhanced hammer
3 deliquent
3 assualt vest
4 max potion
2 float stone
1 startling megaphone
1 hexmaniac
3 puzzle of time
4 vs seeker
4 battle comppressor
2 pokemon fan club
2 cassius
2 az
2super scoop up
2 skyla
2 wally
2 evo soda

#369

Yeah it’ts standard not that good tho as it loses to any mill deck.

#370

is this deck standard competitive?
2-2 garbotoxin
3 wailord ex
2 xerosic
4 team flare grunts
4 crushing hammer
2 enhanced hammer
3 deliquent
3 assualt vest
4 max potion
2 float stone
1 startling megaphone
1 hexmaniac
3 puzzle of time
4 vs seeker
4 battle comppressor
2 pokemon fan club
2 cassius
2 az
2super scoop up
2 skyla
2 wally
2 evo soda
2 rough seas

#371

I… would not play battle compressor in that deck.

#372

is it standard legal? and, i will lower the btl cpmrs down to 2

#373

Dude don’t play Battle compressor in the first place. The whole point of Wailord is to play as little cards as possible.

#374

Standard legal? Yes. Competitive? Not in the slightest.

#375

You can go to TCGone, It’s pretty good for testing.

#376

It’s pretty good for figuring out how well your deck runs. It’s so bad for testing it doesn’t even have win conditions properly implemented…
