This is the thread for all decks that have not established themselves as solid metagame concepts. In general, it should be the default location for new players seeking help on their first couple of decks. Additionally, we’ll be reserving the right to place decks that have never seen competitive play on a significant level in this thread.

Need help on kingdra ex/magnezone deck! :)
Delphox FCO deck
"Genninja" deck
Raticate BREAK Variants // BP-on 2016

Does this mean the help category no longer applies for decks?

#3

That’s one applicable utilization of the thread, yes.

I’ll go ahead and post a dugtrio deck I am working on. I haven’t had a chance to play many xy-on era games, but the few I have played with it make the deck seem slower than I want it to be. Any advice?

Pokémon - 18

3 Eevee AOR 63
2 Jolteon AOR 26
1 Flareon AOR 13
4 Diglett XY 58
4 Dugtrio XY 59
1 Lucario-EX FFI 107
1 Shaymin-EX ROS 106
2 Hawlucha FFI 63

Trainer Cards - 34

3 Fighting Stadium FFI 90
1 Faded Town AOR 73
1 Sacred Ash FLF 96
3 Ultra Ball PLF 122
1 Trainers’ Mail ROS 92
3 Muscle Band XY 121
1 Focus Sash FFI 91
1 Escape Rope PRC
4 VS Seeker ROS 110
1 Teammates PRC 160
2 Lysandre FLF 104
2 Korrina FFI 111
1 Xerosic PHF 119
1 Ace Trainer AOR 69
2 Professor Birch’s Observations PRC 134
4 Professor Sycamore PHF 101
3 Level Ball NXD 89

Energy - 8

4 Strong Energy
4 Fighting Energy

Basically the deck idea is to hit hard and for weakness on things with Fire/Lightning/Fighting weakness [so OHKO things like Mega sceptile, Mega Manectric, Mega Ray, Mega Tyranitar, Metal stuff, Lugia-ex, Vespiquen - all for a single energy] while utilizing strong energy and fighting stadium. I also have a tech Faded Town for if I miss a OHKO on something like a Mega Rayquaza and my opponent retreats to the bench. The focus sash I am not convinced about - especially because of Dugtrio’s self inflicted bench damage. Any advice on the deck would be welcome!

Replace the jolteon and flareon counts, use either ace trainer or teammates, add in another level ball, take out korrina, put in another hawlucha, maybe find room for raichu/toad and some DCE

#6

I get what you are trying to do, but I think you may be heavy on the non EX counts. Maybe try something like this.

3 Eevee AOR 63
2 Jolteon AOR 26
1 Flareon AOR 13
4 Diglett XY 58
3 Dugtrio XY 59
3 Lucario-EX FFI 107
2 Shaymin-EX ROS 106
2 Hawlucha FFI 63

4x Professor Sycamore
4x Shauna
1x Professor Birch’s Observation’s

3x Fighting Stadium
3x Ultra Ball
4x Muscle Band
4x VS Seeker
1x Lysandre
1x Xerosic
1x Hex Maniac
4x Level Ball

4x Strong Energy
6x Fighting Energy

Using Dugtrio to counter sceptile even with the flarion still leaves the dugtrio with a grass weakness. I upped the lucario ex counts as well to give you a second weakness with fighting as the type. Plus having 2 strong on him drawing cards at 120 a pop plus weakness when available with a band cant hurt either.

#7

To many one ofs add more consistency to the deck (meaning supporters) and that’s all I have to say

#8

I don’t get what you are saying. Explain?

#9

I mean like 1 Trainers Mail or 1 Focus Sash or 1 Faded Town if you want to use Faded Town run 3 or 3 of the other 2 I mentioned

#10

He has 3 Muscle Bands and 3 other stadiums, but I agree with trainers mail…

Hey 6P, I had the idea to make a Machamp FFI deck with Strong Energy and Hard Charm, but I’m not welll-versed in Fighting type cards. I was thinking maybe Regirock XY49, but i’m not sure. Anyone got ideas? I’d like for it to be Fighting only, maybe Colorless as well.

#13

Mega Lucario is a quick power up with decent damage that does not require you to go mega.
Hawlucha is good vs EX’s
Medicham with the right mix of strong energy / band / stadium can 1 shot most EX’s
Dugtrio is kinda meh but does decent damage for a single fighting energy

I would consider putting a deck list together to get this topic started or Adam will probably eat it for being too vague.
