You shouldn’t ever play >2 Eggs unless you’re using it for other things besides discards…simply because you can for example, double Propagate/Comp Search/x2 propagate/Ultra ball/x2 Propagate/Superior Energy Retrieval ad nauseam.
That should help greatly
I assume its two copies of it?
Right i’ll cut it to two. Should i cut the number of fan clubs/ultra balls? And i still am curious as to which ace-spec i should run
Just play enrique’s list at this point.
4 Shelmet PLB
3 Accelgor DEX
3 Hawlucha FFI
3 Trubbish (2 LTR, 1 NVI)
2 Garbodor DRX
2 Shaymin ROS
1 Jirachi-EX PLB
4 Professor Juniper
3 Virbank City Gym
4 Vs Seeker
4 Ultra Ball
3 Level Ball
4 Float Stone
2 Head Ringer
2 Muscle Band
1 Tool Scrapper
1 Sacred Ash
1 Computer Search
4 Double Colorless
I decided to build an old rogue from a few years ago with an update to how it would fair in this meta. The initial thought is that it would do well since not many people play switch (or if they do, maybe 1 or 2) and locking abilities appears to be really strong in expanded.
I played this at 2 LCS this past weekend with a combined record of 6-2 (winning 1 and whiffing top 4 at the other). My losses were to a Toad/Virizion/Ariados/Manna and Toad/Tina. Pretty sure I would have beat the Toad/Virizion but I didn’t see a DCE till turn 4 or 5 and every supporter after my second turn was items. Giratina screws up Accelgor anyway.
With all of this said is there anything you guys could suggest to perhaps help those match ups or something in the list you think should be included for a more general boost in other match-ups?
I like 4 N in any Accelgor deck. Bring your Juniper count down to three.
Hey, guys! Based on meta predictions by various Underground writers, the BLW-BKP format is mostly going to consist of “a battle between Sableye and Seismitoad-EX”. As most decks are heavy on energy disruption cards, I actually think that Groudon may be a decent play for Expanded Regionals. Here’s my list:
3 Groudon EX PCL
3 Primal Groudon EX PCL
3 Wobbuffet PHF
1 Regirock PR-XY49
1 Hoopa EX
3 Professor Sycamore
2 Hard Charm
2 Focus Sash
2 Float Stone
2 Mega Turbo
4 Vs Seeker
2 Ultra Ball
4 Trainers’ Mail
2 Silent Lab
1 Shrine Of Memories
1 Fighting Stadium
1 Computer Search ACE SPEC
8 Fighting Energy
4 Strong Energy
You’re missing the point of Groudon
What could you possibly bench?
2 Ultra Ball
For what?
3 Professor Sycamore
Play 4 as you suffer from consistency issues regardless.
Cut these for beach
Other than that, looks good.
He probably doesnt have beach. Switch them for silent labs.
Take out trainers mail, Colress and hoops for a sycamore, n, and 3 e-hammer. Helps a ton vs Giratina decks and can shift that matchup from 30-70 to 50-50 or better.
In my opinion, deck isn’t worth playing without it.
Well if he still wants to play it, it isn’t bad without it. Just worse.
@RisingRaichu . There is an expanded Groudon thread. Perhaps you can pick up a few ideas from there.
Just a question regarding foreign language cards:
I can play a French Tropical Beach in Canada, but can I play it in the States?
OK. I’ll make some alterations:
-4 Trainers’ Mail
-1 Hoopa EX
+1 Professor Sycamore
+3 Enhanced Hammer
+1 Professor’s Letter
+1 Startling Megaphone
I don’t have Beach, anywhere cheap to buy them?
Depending on where you are you can get an alternate language one for ~$30
Tool Scrapper over megaphone always. Head Ringer and jamming net can be gotten rid of.
Also, if I’m not mistaken, with those changes you are now over one card.
I’ve had that problem, you can only play English cards in the states.
I live in the UK. I’ve looked online and Beach is being sold at around 50 pounds.
It’s selling for around 70 USD, that seems a bit expensive?
If you can get Beach that cheaply, please point me in that direction.
gotta snipe them on ebay. Just pay attention to BIN, as they get put up and sell within a few hours.
I’m talking about 50 UK Pounds.
