Top Decks for US Nationals 2015

Well, now that LTC is being banned, what will be the decks that you guys, meaning everyone, think will make a good showing at nats? There will be almost no major tournaments between the ban and nats, so no one will really know what to run. A lot of decks like toadpuff and raymin have been hit hard from this ban

Please, feel free to include lists!

Hmmmm. 6 stadiums seems a little big. In my Groudon lists, I usually only use three Scorched Earth for the acceleration. Also, you don’t need robosub. I find it necessary to only use Wobbufett. I also use Maxies. I can give you a full list later, if you like. Also, I think raymin will go down with ltc banned because you draw through your deck fast. If you go against Wobbufett, also, you will not draw anything because you can’t “set up”. One final thing, if you go against safeguard, that is an even bigger threat of decking out fast because you run through your deck, then can’t attack. But raymin could still be good if players don’t run through their deck too fast. Same with ToadMin. Thanks for your opinion. Also, it is just “Rayquaza Spirit Link” and no “mega” and you shouldn’t use absol if you have garbodor

Haha, I am really tired I edited it like 10 times!

I think that ManectricEX variants will have a stand at U.S. Nationals. Here’s the list that took me to a solid 3-1-0 record and a 4th place at a League Challenge:

Pokemon-14

4 ManectricEX

2 SeismitoadEX

2 MewtwoEX

2 Trubbish

2 Garbodor

1 ShayminEX

1 JirachiEX

Trainers-33

4 Professor Sycamore

3 N

2 Colress

2 Lysandre

1 Xerosic

4 VS Seeker

4 Ultra Ball

4 Muscle Band

3 Head Ringer

2 Float Stone

1 Computer Search

3 Rough Seas

Energy-13

9 Lightning

4 Double Colorless

The list is extremely consistent. If you don’t want high chances of a Shaymin/Jirachi start, take out the Jirachi for an N. And the energy is NOT overkill because you actually do attck with MewtwoEX quite often.

Maybe a one of M manectric?
Good for charging up mewtwo or seismitoad

Nice list. I put in a crobat line (4-4-3) instead of garbodor, float stone and jirachi and it helped against the pGroudon matchup. Zubat is also a pretty good starter as it is not affected by Wobbufett. I agree with you that Manectric decks will make a good stand.

Night March?

4 Joltik

4 Pumpkaboo

4 Lampent

2 Mew EX

1 Mr. Mime

2 Shaymin

4 Juniper

3 N

2 Colress

2 Lysandre

4 Ultra Ball

4 Battle Compressor

4 Acro Bike

3 Roller Skates

4 Trainer’s Mail

4 VS Seeker

1 Computer Search

1 Startling Megaphone

3 Dimension Valley

4 DCE

I think that’s 60…

Lots of people run 5 stadiums in their Groudon lists. Some run 6.

You need a plentiful supply of stadiums. The opposing player will usually stop playing stadiums against you, and if you have only 3 stadiums that may mean you can swing for 200+ only 3 times. If a stadium is prized or you have to discard one, less.

Scorched earth is definitely the core- it keeps the deck flowing and gets energy in the discard. But you want more than just 3 Scorched Earth. Silent Lab is needed to deal with safeguarders, and is useful disruption against Shaymin EX and a few other popular cards. There is a strong case for fighting stadium too, as otherwise it is hard to one-shot colorless M-Ray.

In the Primal Groudon list, I think you can go down to 2 Ultra ball, in exchange for increasing the Korrina count.

So, my list of stuff good for nats goes like this in no specific order of good and bad:

Night March/Empoleon DEX (Archies)

I will do requests for lists everyone wants
Lists coming soon: Manectric ex/Seismitoad ex/Crobat PHF and Seismitoad ex/Crawdaunt PRC.
This is going to be really long when I’m done.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Also, these are lists that I would personally run for nats. If I would change my lists for nats, I would edit them on here.
I hope to be done with these a week before nats so everyone can look at them and decide what to play at least a week before.

Yeah, that Wobbufet/PrimalGroundon deck is very powerful. I’m sure you’ll see plenty of them. Night March too will probably see some success because Trump was one of the best counters to Night March.

what about Thrash and symphonic?

Great list though.

Begin spoiler is [spoiler] and end spoiler is ]/spoiler] with the first bracket facing the inward to [spoiler]. (I did it like that to prevent it autohiding the information.)

What’s thrash and symphonic, and thanks.

EDIT: Never mind.

I really think you should run Mew-EX in your night March list, Dimension valley combined with versatile can have it using night March for one energy, plus you can counter things like quaking punch and X-ball

It’s in there. Dimension Valley too.

Oh sorry I’m blind lol

I say the first four decks,

Are obviously going to be the most abundant.
Now only if there was a way to counter all of those.

I’ve been trying with a gallade rogue, as they have weaknesses to low energy psychic spam damage attacks.
