I think this was the best way to run Rock Lock in HL-on. Jirachi DX let you set up quickly, without requiring Energy. Larvitar DS was used solely because it could hit an opposing Jirachi for 20 damage. (Jirachi were probably the most common starters in the format.) Every damage counter mattered for this deck.

I’m not really sure what I was going for with this list. I guess it was meant to have a more consistent but slower setup than the previous list while focusing more on Spinning Tail Tyranitar.

This list had too much going on and was inconsistent, from what I remember. In theory it seems amazing to add Espeon ex to the mix, but in practice it was difficult to time effectively.

Would anyone be so kind enough to give a detailed strategy of this deck? This is probably the first deck in going to try and would love to know exactly how it works, it’s strategy, and what to do every game. Thanks a ton guys it is really appreciated!!!

EDIT: or direct me to any good deck that had Dark Ampharos as that is one of my favorite catds of this time. Thanks so much!!!

jirachi to set up, then bring Dark Tyranitar w/ it’s Pokebody to deal damage to basics. Ampharos discouraged evolving by placing even more damage, and ATM Rock flat out got rid of any evolutions your opponent got out.

Was Pidgeot a good card in this deck? And, is this original list @Adam posted in here the best to start with?

If I understand correctly, Pidgeot was in every deck during its existence. It’s search power is unmatched, excluding the one other search power that was the same as Pidgeot on another Pokemon (unfortunately I don’t recall which one).
