Is greninja good?

At Salt Lake City, one Greninja break deck got top 32, getting a lot of recognition for that. For a better understanding of what I am talking about, read Christopher’s article “Reflection Pool” – Salt Lake City Recap, Analysis, and Greninja Reboot. Also, I have seen new variants, including one with Alolan Muk. So, do you believe that this is just hype, or that some versions are really good, and if so, which ones would you recommend? Thanks!

I believe that Greninja is a good deck if you run hot over the course of an entire tournament, but not in pretty much any other case. I think the deck is just too inconsistent to be a safe play. When it sets up, it’s really strong, but it bricks really really hard when it bricks.
